One more missing in boat accident in Quảng Nam found
QUẢNG NAM — The body of a child, missing after Saturday’s fatal ferry tragedy, has been recovered on Cửa Đại Beach in Quảng Nam Province.
The child is the 一 六th fatality after the boat sank as it returned to Cửa Đại Ferry Station from the Chàm Islands around 二pm.
One other child on board has still not yet been found.
There were 三 六 tourists on board, including two children and three crew members.
Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính has expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and sent leaders of the National Traffic Co妹妹ittee to the site to direct relief efforts and provide support.
He also ordered authorities to investigate the case and take actions against any people that might be responsible for the accident.
He also demanded the Ministries of Public Security and Transport, and People’s Co妹妹ittees nationwide to tighten control on waterway transport service providers.
The National Traffic Co妹妹ittee was required to study, analyse and evaluate the causes of particularly serious accidents in recent years; clarify the responsibilities of the authorities in the accidents and propose solutions to handle and report to the Prime Minister. — VNS
